Treat Acne Scars -
After the
acne on your face heals, brown blotches, dark spots, and
uneven colored skin may eventually develop on your face.
When this happens, it is always best to treat them.
Otherwise, these unsightly blemishes will remain an eternal
mark on your face. Right after the scarring occurs, do not
expose them to direct sunlight. The UV rays of the sun and
even the heat from saunas will serve to further darken the
scars and promote a misshaping to develop, especially when
young and sensitive skin tissues are involved. Extreme
temperatures like heat impedes normal tissue repair, and you
may readily notice undesirable alterations in both the color
and the texture of the scar after exposure to extreme
conditions. Thus, when going out, remember to use a highly
effective sunscreen for the face so as not to further
aggravate the scars.
You may also use fruits and vegetables loaded with vitamin C
to your advantage; the sour taste of these foods normally
means that they contain acids that slough off old skin and
lighten darkened skin. Natural solutions to treat acne scars
include the family of citrus fruits; apply fresh lemon juice
on your face to lighten and treat acne scars but take care
not to accidentally put some into your eyes. Crushed tomato
pulp can also be a good source of these acids; apply some on
the scars, then wash off after a few minutes.
Deeper blemishes, on the other hand, can be treated with the
help of a medical doctor. For subcutaneous blemishes or
those affecting many skin layers, there are several
procedures that can speed up skin exfoliation to even out
the skin texture and treat acne scars.
